A Footer template works exactly like a Header — build it once in Elementor, assign display conditions, and it renders in place of your theme’s default footer wherever it matches.
Requires: Tiger Elements Pro. In the Free plugin this feature appears as an “Upgrade to Pro” card.
Where: WP Admin → Tiger Elements → Theme Builder → Footer card → Create.
Building a footer
- Create a new template and set its Template Type to Footer.
- Lay out columns for navigation, contact details, social links and a copyright line — the Copyright widget can insert the current year automatically.
- Set the Display Conditions (usually Entire Site).
- Publish.
How the theme’s footer is hidden
When a footer template is active, Tiger hides your theme’s own footer so the two never stack. It targets the footer markup of common themes (Astra, Neve, OceanWP, Blocksy, Kadence and block/FSE themes) plus generic site-footer / colophon markup. Unusual themes can be handled by adding a selector through the tiger_tb_hide_footer_selectors filter.
Display conditions and multiple footers
Like headers, footers use Include/Exclude conditions and the same “more specific wins” resolution. To run a simpler footer on landing pages and a fuller one everywhere else, give each different, non-overlapping conditions — Tiger applies the most specific match. When two footers could both apply, the more specific condition wins; ties fall to the lower Priority number, then the older template.
Sticky footers
You can pin a footer to the bottom of the viewport using the general Tiger Sticky feature: select the footer’s outer container, open Advanced → Tiger Sticky, set Stick To → Bottom, and enable it. Tiger includes a wrapper fix so a bottom-sticky footer pins correctly against the page.
Troubleshooting
My footer isn’t showing.
Confirm it’s Published, its Template Type is Footer, and it has at least one Include condition matching the current page.
I see both my footer and the theme’s.
Tiger hides common theme footers automatically. If your theme uses non-standard markup, add its selector via the tiger_tb_hide_footer_selectors filter. If Elementor Pro is active with “yield to Elementor Pro” enabled, Tiger will step aside for it.
