No inventory system to learn twice — a rental is just another kind of booking, built on the same engine as everything else in Tiger Booking.
Rentals ships no separate inventory table of its own — every rentable item is a kernel resource, the same object type appointments and rooms use elsewhere in Tiger Booking. Add it once from the Inventory screen, tag it equipment or space, and it's ready to hire out for any length of time.
Before a rental is saved, Tiger Booking takes a lock on that resource, checks whether it's free for the requested window, and only writes the record once the check passes — holding the lock past commit so two simultaneous requests can't both slip through. It's the identical mechanism behind appointments and every other engine, not a rentals-only shortcut.
This is the newest, smallest module in Tiger Booking. Here's the honest state of it, not the roadmap.
Install the free build today, or add Rentals and every other Pro module from one add-on — same customers, same calendar, same conflict engine.
