Show a one-click add-on offer at checkout — “Wait! Add this to your order” — that a shopper accepts with a single checkbox, no extra page or payment step. Each order bump is its own post you configure once and reuse.
Where: WP Admin → Tiger Elements → Order Bumps → Add New Order Bump. Requires the Woo Builder module and WooCommerce.
The offer
- Bump Product — the WooCommerce product (or variation) offered as the add-on.
- Discount — None, Percentage off, Fixed amount off, or Override price, applied to the bump product when accepted.
- Headline — defaults to “Wait! Add this to your order,” fully editable.
- Description — the pitch text under the headline.
- Accept Checkbox Label — defaults to “Yes, add this to my order.”
Display rules
- Show when cart contains — Any product (always eligible), Specific products, or Products in categories, so a bump only offers something relevant.
- Minimum cart total — optionally require the cart to reach a value first.
- Position in checkout — Before payment methods, After payment methods, or Above order review.
A bump is only shown when the cart isn’t empty, its product isn’t already in the cart, the minimum total is met, and the trigger products/categories match.
Design
Set a Background and Border color, and toggle a pointing arrow and a pulse animation to draw the eye to the offer box.
Placing it in checkout
Order bumps render through the Order Bumps widget in your Checkout template. The widget’s “Show bumps with position” control decides which eligible bumps it displays (Before payment, After payment, Above order review, or all), matching each bump’s own Position setting — so you can place bump zones exactly where you want in the checkout layout.
What happens when accepted
Ticking the checkbox adds the bump product to the cart at its discounted price via AJAX, recalculates totals, and refreshes the order review — no page reload. The bump quantity is locked to one, its cart remove link is suppressed, and the order line is tagged so it’s clearly marked as an order bump on the finished order.
Troubleshooting
My bump never shows at checkout.
Check that the cart meets the display rules (trigger products/categories and minimum total), that the bump product isn’t already in the cart, and that your Checkout template contains an Order Bumps widget whose position matches the bump’s Position in checkout.
The discount isn’t applied.
Confirm the bump’s Discount type and value are set. The discount is applied to the bump line only, when the shopper accepts it.
