Create on‑brand pop‑ups — promotions, email opt‑ins, announcements, age gates — and control exactly where, when, and to whom they appear. Designed visually in Elementor.

Requires: the Popup Builder module enabled in Tiger Elements → Settings.

Creating a popup

  1. Go to Tiger Elements → Popup Builder.
  2. Click Add New Popup and design it in Elementor.
  3. Set the Conditions, Triggers, and Targeting (below).
  4. Publish.

The popup list shows each popup's conditions, triggers and targeting at a glance.

Starting from a template

When you click Add New Popup, you can pick a ready‑made starting point instead of a blank canvas:

Template Good for
Newsletter Opt‑in Headline + subtext, with a blank slot for your own form widget.
Sale / Promo Discount Discount headline with a coupon code and CTA — great for exit intent.
Cookie Consent A GDPR‑style consent bar pinned to the bottom, no backdrop.
Welcome / Announcement A simple welcome modal with a headline, message and CTA button.
Age Verification A Yes/No age gate the visitor must confirm before entering.

Or choose Skip — build from scratch to design freely in Elementor.

Conditions — *where* it appears

Choose the pages a popup can show on, mixing Include and Exclude rules:

  • Entire site, Front page, Blog, Search results
  • All pages / All posts, or a specific page/post
  • Archives, a specific category/tag/taxonomy
  • Any custom post type (e.g. all products)

A popup only appears where an Include rule matches *and* no Exclude rule matches.

Triggers — *when* it appears

Trigger Fires when…
On Page Load The page finishes loading (add a delay to avoid a jarring instant popup).
On Scroll Depth The visitor scrolls down a set percentage of the page.
Scroll to Element A specific element comes into the viewport.
On Exit Intent The visitor’s mouse rapidly moves toward the browser’s address bar (about to leave).
On Inactivity (Idle) The visitor hasn’t moved the mouse or scrolled for a set period.
On Click A specific element (like a button) is clicked.
On Hover A specific element is hovered over.

Each trigger is its own toggle, so you can combine several for the behaviour you want.

Targeting — *who* sees it

Fine‑tune the audience and frequency, on their own tab in the popup editor:

  • Device Targeting — Desktop / Tablet / Mobile checkboxes; uncheck any device to hide the popup there.
  • User State (Login) — show based on authentication status (All Users, or restrict to logged‑in / logged‑out).
  • Visitor Type — targets based on a browser cookie (e.g. new vs. returning visitor).
  • Referral Targeting — only show if the visitor arrived from a specific domain (e.g. reddit.com or facebook.com) — useful for campaign‑specific offers.
  • Display Limitations — cap how many times the same visitor sees this popup, to prevent spamming.

Appearance & behaviour

Per popup you can set the entrance animation, whether to show a close button, a backdrop/overlay, close on click‑outside, close on Esc, prevent page scroll while open, and an optional auto‑close timer.

Tips

  • For email capture, pair Exit intent with a discount offer and a display limit of 1–2 so it feels helpful, not pushy.
  • Use Scroll triggers for content offers (e.g. "Enjoying this article? Subscribe.").
  • Keep mobile pop‑ups small and easy to close — and test the close button on a phone.

Troubleshooting

My popup never appears. Make sure it's Published, has at least one Include condition matching the current page, and has a Trigger set.

It appears too often. Set a Display limit under Targeting.

It shows on the wrong pages. Check your Include/Exclude conditions — an Entire site include will show everywhere unless you add Exclude rules.
