General Settings holds the site-wide defaults every new form inherits — the fallback notification address, whether entries are stored, and how long they’re kept before deletion or anonymization.

Where: Tiger Forms → Settings → General.

What you control

  • Fallback admin email — where new-submission alerts go when a form’s own notification has no recipient of its own. Defaults to your WordPress admin email.
  • Store submissions — keep a database copy of every entry. When off, notifications and payments still run, but each entry’s field data is discarded right after — nothing personal is kept.
  • Delete entries after (days) — a daily job permanently deletes submissions older than this many days. 0 keeps them forever.
  • Anonymize entries after (days) — older entries are kept for statistics but have their personal data (name, email, IP, field values) scrubbed. 0 never anonymizes.
  • Enable detailed logging — reveals the Logs page under Tiger Forms, recording integrations, anti-spam decisions and payment webhooks for troubleshooting.

Where the sender identity lives

The From name and From email are not on this tab — they’re on the Mail Delivery tab, alongside the optional SMTP panel. Individual forms can override the notification recipient and content, but setting good defaults here means every new form starts out configured correctly.

Retention, storage & privacy work together

The retention and anonymization controls here pair with the Storage tab (where uploaded files are kept) and the GDPR tab (data export/erase, consent log) so you hold only the data you need for as long as you need it.

Tips

Pick a sensible retention window — for example 180 days — to keep your database lean and your compliance story simple. If you’d rather stop storing entirely, turn off Store submissions and rely on email notifications and payment records instead.

Do I have to store submissions?

No. With Store submissions off, forms still email you and still take payments — the plugin simply discards each entry’s field data immediately after processing.

What’s the difference between delete and anonymize?

Delete removes the whole entry after N days. Anonymize keeps the row (so your submission counts stay accurate) but strips the personal fields from it.
