Tiger Booking

Coupons, waitlist & reviews

Run promotions with discount coupons, let customers join a waitlist for full slots, and collect post-booking reviews for social proof.

Three tools sit alongside the booking engine to help you run the business: coupons for discounts, a waitlist for full slots, and reviews for social proof. Reviews are in the free wordpress.org plugin. Coupons and the waitlist are part of the Tiger Booking Pro add-on and are not in the free download.

Where: Reviews is a page under Tiger Booking on every build. Coupons (Settings → Coupons) and Waitlist appear only when the Pro add-on is installed.

Which build has what

Tiger Booking is two plugins: the free one from wordpress.org, and Tiger Booking Pro, an add-on installed alongside it. Nothing is uninstalled and no data is moved when you add Pro.

  • Reviews — free. Collecting, moderating and publishing reviews works fully on the wordpress.org plugin.
  • Coupons — Pro add-on. On the free plugin the Coupons settings tab is never built and there is no code discount field at checkout.
  • Waitlist — Pro add-on. On the free plugin the Waitlist menu item is not registered at all.

Your saved coupon codes and waitlist entries live in tables the free plugin also creates, so a site that has run Pro and later drops back to the free plugin alone does not lose them — they simply become unreachable until the add-on is back.

Reviews (free)

Collect post-booking reviews to build trust. Manage them at Tiger Booking → Reviews. Reviews submitted from the public widgets arrive as pending, each with a star rating out of five and a comment. Moderate with three actions:

  • Approve — publish it as social proof. Only approved reviews are ever served publicly.
  • Reject — hide it without deleting.
  • Delete — remove it entirely.

Filter by pending, approved or rejected to work through the queue. While anything is waiting, the plugin’s admin pages carry a notice with the count and a link straight to the moderation screen. A Review Request email (Settings → Notifications) can invite customers to leave one after their booking, and a matching New Review Received alert tells you when one lands.

Coupons (Pro add-on)

Discount codes customers apply at checkout. With the add-on installed, open Settings → Coupons and add a row for each code:

  • Code — what the customer types (for example SUMMER25). Codes are uppercased automatically and limited to letters, numbers, hyphens and underscores.
  • Discount type & value — a percentage from 1 to 100, or a fixed amount off.
  • Max redemptions — the total number of uses allowed, where 0 means unlimited.
  • Expiry date — an optional date after which the code stops working.
  • Active — pause a coupon without deleting it.

Add as many rows as you need and save; blank rows are ignored. Because a coupon reduces an amount payable, it belongs with the payments side of the product, which is also part of the add-on.

Waitlist (Pro add-on)

When a slot is full, customers can join a waitlist and be told if space opens up. Manage entries at Tiger Booking → Waitlist. Each entry carries a status you control:

  • Waiting — queued for an opening.
  • Notified — told a slot is available.
  • Fulfilled — they booked the freed slot.
  • Cancelled — no longer waiting.

Filter by status and work down the queue. If the add-on is installed but the site has no active licence, the Waitlist page stays in the menu and tells you plainly that a licence is needed — your queued customers are not deleted.

Troubleshooting

There is no Coupons tab or Waitlist menu item.

You are on the free wordpress.org plugin, which does not contain that code. Install the Tiger Booking Pro add-on alongside it; the free plugin stays exactly where it is.

A coupon isn’t accepted at checkout.

Confirm it is marked Active, has not passed its expiry date, and has not hit its max redemptions. Codes are uppercase, so enter them exactly.

Reviews never appear on the site.

New reviews are held as pending until you Approve them from Tiger Booking → Reviews. Only approved reviews are shown publicly.

I moderated reviews but the admin notice still shows a count.

The pending count is cached briefly and refreshed whenever a review is written or moderated. Reload the page after saving.
