Form Builder

Drag-and-drop form builder — add fields, multi-step pages, conditional logic and calculations, then publish with a block or shortcode.

The Form Builder is a drag-and-drop canvas for creating forms — add fields, arrange them across steps, wire up conditional logic and calculations, then publish anywhere with a block, the Elementor widget or a shortcode. No code required.

Where: WP Admin → Tiger FormsNew form (or open an existing form to edit it).

The three-pane builder

The builder has a field palette on the left, the canvas in the middle, and a settings panel on the right. Drag a field from the palette onto the canvas, drop it where you want, and click it to edit its label, placeholder, help text, default value, width and validation rules.

  • Reorder & resize — drag fields to reorder them, and set each field’s width (for example 50%) to place fields side-by-side in tidy columns.
  • Duplicate & remove — every field on the canvas has one-click duplicate and delete controls.
  • Templates — start from one of 20+ ready-made forms (contact, quote, booking, donation, survey, job application and more) instead of a blank canvas.

Field types

More than 40 field types are grouped into four categories in the palette:

  • Basic — Single line, Paragraph, Email, Phone, Password, URL, Number, Whole number, Range slider, Name and Address.
  • Choice — Dropdown, Radio, Checkboxes, Single checkbox, Multi-select, Image choice, Product / Service, Toggle, Country and State / Province.
  • Advanced — Date, Time, Date & time, File upload, Rating, Signature, Calculation, Color, NPS score, Likert matrix and Repeater.
  • Layout — Heading, Divider, Section, Spacer, Image, HTML block, Consent, Page break and Hidden.

Special fields carry their own settings — for example, File upload supports multiple files with a max-files limit and allowed types, Product / Service holds priced options that can feed a payment, and Signature captures a drawn signature.

Multi-step forms

Drop a Page break field wherever a step should end. The form becomes a stepped flow with a numbered progress indicator and per-step validation, which lifts completion rates on long forms. Visitors can move back and forth, and save-and-resume keeps their progress. Multi-step is a Pro feature.

Conditional logic & calculations

Make the form react to what people enter:

  • Conditional logic — show or hide any field based on earlier answers (for example, reveal a “Company name” field only when “Business” is selected). Logic can also route which notification email fires.
  • Calculations — a Calculation field runs real arithmetic across numeric and Product fields to produce live totals, quotes or scores, and can drive the amount charged at checkout.

Notifications, payments & integrations

Each form has its own tabs beyond the canvas: Notifications (branded admin alerts and autoresponders with merge tags), Payments (Stripe, PayPal, Razorpay), and Integrations (webhooks plus native services). These override the site-wide defaults in Settings.

Publishing

Insert the form with the Tiger Forms block (Gutenberg), the Elementor widget, or the shortcode . Every submission is saved under Submissions and can trigger emails, payments and integrations.

Tips

Why aren’t my fields side-by-side?

Column layout is controlled by each field’s width. Set two adjacent fields to 50% (or three to roughly 33%) and they line up in a row.

Can I change a template after starting?

Yes. A template just seeds the canvas — add, remove or rewire anything afterward.

Frequently asked questions

Yes — drag them anywhere on the canvas, or into columns for a side-by-side layout.

Add a Page break field where each step should end; the form then renders as a stepped flow with progress.

Use the Tiger Forms block in the editor, or paste the form’s shortcode into any page, widget or page-builder.
