The Instructor Card widget displays a course’s instructor — avatar, name and role — in a styleable card, adding a personal, trust-building touch to a course page. It pulls the instructor assigned to the course, so the content updates itself when you reassign teaching staff.
Where: Elementor editor → search “Instructor Card” → drag onto the canvas.
The widget is in the Tiger LMS category and needs an instructor assigned to the course.
Content settings
The Content tab holds a single Course ID control. Leave it 0 to use the course currently being viewed — the widget then pulls that course’s assigned instructor — or enter a specific course ID to show a fixed instructor anywhere on the site.
Style options
The Style tab is split into four sections:
- Layout — a Gap between instructors slider (for courses with more than one instructor) and an Avatar spacing slider controlling the gap between the avatar and the text within each card.
- Avatar — the avatar Size (16–160 px), Border radius and a Border group control.
- Name — instructor name Color and full Typography.
- Role — role or title Color and Typography.
Layout tips
- Set a high Border radius (up to 50%) for a round, friendly profile photo.
- Place the card near the Enroll Button — a visible, credible instructor increases enrollment confidence.
- Use Avatar spacing to control how tight the photo sits against the name and role.
- Add a thin Avatar border in an accent color to lift the photo off a busy or dark background.
- For courses taught by a team, raise the Gap between instructors so each person’s card stays visually distinct.
Troubleshooting
No instructor shows.
Assign an instructor to the course in the Course Builder, and confirm the Course ID (or Course ID = 0 on a single-course template) resolves to that course. With no instructor on record, the card has nothing to render.
The avatar is missing but the name shows.
The avatar falls back to the instructor’s profile photo. Make sure the instructor’s user account has an avatar or profile image set; the name and role will still display from their account details.
