Collect graded work from students with Assignments, then review it in the Grading queue. An assignment is a curriculum item you add in the Course Builder; students submit from the lesson player, and an instructor scores and returns each submission. Assignments are a Pro feature.
Where: WP Admin → Tiger LMS → Grading.
Creating an assignment
In the Course Builder, add an Assignment item to a section. Each assignment has:
- Instructions — the assignment body the student reads.
- Max points — the total the submission is graded out of (default 100).
- Allow link submission — a per-assignment toggle; turn it off for text-only assignments so no unused URL field is shown.
Submissions
Enrolled students submit their work — text and/or a link — from the lesson player. A submission moves through three states:
- Submitted — waiting to be graded.
- Graded — the instructor has finalized a grade.
- Returned — sent back to the student for another attempt.
A submission cannot be re-submitted once it has been graded (that locks it); use Return if you want the student to try again.
Grading
- Open the Grading queue and pick a submission.
- Enter a grade (out of the assignment’s max points) and optional feedback.
- Choose Grade to finalize, or Return to send it back for another attempt.
Saving a grade emails the student the Assignment graded notification (with the grade, max points and your feedback). When a student first submits, the course’s instructors receive the New submission to grade email pointing back to this queue.
Instructor scope
The Grading queue is available to users with the LMS instructor capability, and an instructor only sees submissions for the courses they’re assigned to. Site administrators see everything.
Troubleshooting
A student can’t submit again.
Once a submission is Graded it’s locked. If they should retry, open the submission and choose Return — that reopens it for another attempt.
An instructor can’t see a submission.
Instructors are scoped to their own courses. Confirm the instructor is assigned to that course in the Course Builder; otherwise the submission only appears to administrators.
No graded email arrived.
Check that the Assignment graded template is enabled under Settings → Emails, and that mail delivery is working (use its Send test).
